Description
Aeora was the ancient Greek festival dedicated to the god Dionysus and the celebration of the revelation of the annual wine. . It was part of the three-day celebration of the Anthesteria. It consists of a blend of three grape varieties Two famous Greek varieties, Mavrotragano from the Aegean Islands (30%), and Xinomavro from Northern Greece (30%), and a world variety, Syrah (40%). It is an intensely fruity wine with a very balanced taste. The nose is highly aromatic, with aromas of sour cherry, cherry jam, berry, plum and butter, while smoked paprika and fresh earth from the pith can be discerned in the background. The palate is of medium volume, with balanced acidity and silky tannins. The palate is juicy, with cherry, blackberry, sour cherry, butterscotch, pink pepper and vanilla filling the palate, with underlying notes of fresh earth and ripe cassis.
