Planteray Single Cask El Salvador Vintage 2015 is a particularly significant and rare 8-year-old release for the Greek market, as it marks the first time Maison Ferrand has collaborated with the Ingenio La Cabaña Distillery in El Salvador. This limited edition rum belongs to the renowned Single Cask Collection and stands out for its triple maturation, with a very distinctive finish in casks that previously held a fortified sweet French wine.
The aging process:
5 years of tropical aging in El Salvador in 200-liter ex-Bourbon barrels.
2 years of continental aging in France in Ferrand French oak cognac barrels.
1 additional year of finishing in casks that previously held Red Pineau des Charentes (a famous sweet French wine).
