Description
A rare and fine aged spirit that managed to transform a “humble” product of the Greek land into an excellent “drink of the world”. It is produced from black Muscat grapes, matured slowly and aged in oak barrels.
Impressive in appearance, it is copper-coloured with golden highlights. On the nose it is distinguished by its aromatic concentration and complexity. “Sweet” aromas of flowers, honey, citrus fruits such as bergamot and orange peel are combined with notes of dried fruits such as apricots, plums and raisins, while spices, vanilla, tobacco, cedar and mocha are strongly present. In the mouth it is warm and full-bodied and is characterised by a balanced richness of flavour and a mouth aroma of great intensity and development. The aftertaste is long and leaves a pleasant aromatic sensation, with the grape and barrel components creating a harmonious whole with a particular personality.
It is drunk neat or with a little ice and accompanies smoked delicacies, nuts, dried fruit, sweets, chocolates and, of course, an aromatic …cigar!
