Description
A white wine from an over-ripened harvest, picked a month after the regular harvest began, then fermented and aged on the lees in a clay amphora for 24 months. It’s a distinctive, extreme expression of Santorini Assyrtiko, with a very rich body, a long finish, and a high alcohol content. The underwater volcano officially called Columbo was known to the people of Oia as “Akoulumbo.”
