Description
From the Stavros and Konti Karydia vineyard plots, at an altitude of 640m, where southern exposure, northern winds, and reddish sandy-clay soil come together to shape Amyntaio’s unique terroir. It shows a bright ruby color with garnet highlights, and notes of tomato and wild strawberry. A complex bouquet featuring dried plum and cherry, with a spicy, vanilla-tinged finish. Soft tannins and a long finish. Aged 26 months in new French oak barrels, followed by a further 6 months of bottle aging. Ideal for cellaring. Decanting is recommended before serving.
Pairs excellently with grilled meats, game, and rich, fatty cheeses.
