The Chairman’s Reserve The Forgotten Casks Gift Pack is a premium gift set that includes a bottle of the excellent, extra-aged rum from St. Lucia, along with two authentic tasting glasses bearing the brand’s logo. This rum was born by happenstance. On May 2, 2007, a major fire struck the St. Lucia Distillers distillery. In an effort to save the maturing barrels, Cellar Master Cyril Mangal hurriedly moved them to safe, alternative locations around the area. Some of those barrels were forgotten and discovered by chance years later. Their contents had by then aged far longer than the classic Chairman’s Reserve. The result was so rich and complex that the distillery decided to create a permanent, separate edition that reproduces exactly that flavor profile.
