Description
Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Red Rye Finish is one of the results of hundreds of taste experiments that take place in Scotland. It includes malt and grain whiskies aged in bourbon casks and finished in rye casks for six months. It needed more than 50 experiments and 203 samples of malt and grain whiskies to create this Red Rye Finish, which is eventually a blend of only four whiskies including Cardhu single malt for the vivid, fresh, fruity flavour and the creamy texture thanks to the vanilla grains of Port Dundas – its distillery is no longer in operation.
